NFL Parlay Power Picks for Week 5

Week 5 of the NFL football season is upon us and let’s get to this week’s three-team parlay. In addition, play these picks on a money line parlay and bet them straight up. Last week again we went 1-2 ATS and that brings our total to 6-6 ATS year to date. We look to get back on track in week 5.

Our NFL Football Parlays target sharps plays. Sharp plays are betting lines indicating reverse line movements or a line hold. We also identify games where the Vegas books have the most liability on a certain team. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day. Remember that the probability of cashing a three-team parlay is 6/1, so a realistic goal is for us to hit on two or three for the season.

The betting lines discussed are the consensus posted at Vegas Insider and are subject to change. To be a profitable sports bettor, the odds are in your favor to stay away from public plays, usually the betting favorite.

Parlay Leg #1: Buffalo Bills -1

The opening leg of our week five parlay is the Buffalo Bills +1 versus the Houston Texans. We backed the Bills last week, but to no avail, as they were steamrolled by the Ravens. The Bills need to bounce back and get that statement win, the Bill’s combined record of three teams they have beaten is 2-9. They take on the 3-1 Texans in week five and ex-teammate Stefon Diggs.

Houston is 3-1 SU but 0-4 ATS this season. We are a bit leery of backing the Bills with public money on them, but we expect them motivated after last week. Buffalo is 8-2 SU in their last 10 games as a favorite and 2-1 ATS in their last three overall. We take the Bills in parlay leg number one.

Parlay Leg #2: Arizona Cardinals +7.5

In the middle leg of our parlay, we take the Arizona Cardinals +7.5 against the San Francisco 49ers. The sharps are backing the Cardinals, the opening line has dropped from 9.5 down to the current 7.5 with a majority of the spread bets being on the 49ers. We find the reverse line movement that we look for every week. Arizona comes in 2-2 ATS and their games have been close most of the season. The Cardinal’s average margin is 2.5 points per game. They are 3-2 ATS last five and 6-4 ATS last ten as an underdog. Give us the points in this NFC West divisional battle in week five.

Parlay Leg #3: Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5

For the final leg of our parlay, we go to Sunday Night Football to back the Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 against the Dallas Cowboys. The Steelers come in at 3-1 and have played only one home game this season. Pittsburgh is 3-1 ATS this season and getting some sharp money backing them. Dallas is seeing 84% of spread and 92% of money bets and went from a 1.5 favorite to a now 2.5 dog. Part of that is the fact they will be down two defensive studs in Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence. The Steelers are 6-4 ATS last ten home games, give us the Steelers at home in primetime in the final leg of this week’s NFL parlay.
