Who is Colin Cassidy on General Hospital? Everything you need to know about the new Aiden Spencer

General Hospital's ever-evolving cast will be seeing a new phase with Colin Cassidy.

The actor is making his daytime television debut as Aiden Spencer - Elizabeth Webber and Lucky Spencer 's son. Aiden made his arrival to Port Charles in 2010 when he was born. Twins Adrian and Brett Ritter played the role until 2011.

After a handful of additional actors swapping through the slot, Tristan Riggs picked up the role in May 2024. It once again transferred to Colin who's experience in acting includes the rom-coms Labyu with an Accent and Merry Ex-Mas.

Colin officially began his stint on September 30. His storyline will include seeing Aiden's father, Lucky, as he is expected to return to the plot. The reunion comes after Lucky departed from Port Charles in 2015 and surely has a lot to catch up on. After all, in Lucky's absence, Aiden came out as gay. Plus, Aiden's aunt, Lulu Spencer, needs an urgent liver transplant, piling onto the stress that the youngster is feeling.

Colin told Soap Opera Digest: "I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity. To be thrown in with the incredible actors I'm working with and have these amazing scenes to do, it's really not something to scoff at! It's a big deal and I'm very grateful."

He went on to express a love for the character who he described as "ambitious." Colin further called on Aiden's connection to his mother, played by Rebecca Herbst, which is something he particularly emphasized.

Outside of acting, Colin is also a musician. He previously played bass for the Yard Barkers. The band sent him some love when he announced the new role on Instagram, commenting: "This guy played bass for us once. Now he's on ABC? WHAT? Stuck in a blender. Now he's saving lives."

Colin celebrated his new gig, writing: "I am so unbelievably honored and grateful to be a part of GENERAL HOSPITAL! Thank you so much for all the love and support already, it really means the world to me. My first episode airs today and you can tune in on ABC or Hulu! Can’t wait to hear what yall think of Aiden!"
