Home Sweet Home: Meet Luna

(SPONSORED) — This week, FOX21 Morning News and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) are featuring Luna, a one-year-old brown and white Pit Bull mix that came into HSPPR as an owner surrender.

HSPPR said Luna loves a game of fetch and loves to be loved on, especially with pets behind her ears and on the sides of her tummy. HSPPR said Luna is a big lap dog who loves to cuddle. Luna has experience living with another dog and did well, but she also doesn’t mind one-on-one attention if you want her to be an only dog.

Luna’s adoption fee is $150, which includes a voucher for a veterinarian exam, vaccinations, and a microchip, and she is already spayed.

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Last year, HSPPR adopted out over 5,400 dogs, and they are hoping to surpass that number this year. HSPPR estimates their average adoption value at about $400.
