One week after The Golden Bachelorette ‘s Joan Vassos said goodbye to fan-favorite contestant Jack Lencioni three more Golden Guys packed their bags and headed home.

If you’re looking for a detailed recap of The Golden Bachelorette ‘s eventful Episode 3, Decider’s got you covered. But if you want to get down to business and learn who went home on The Golden Bachelorette ‘s Wednesday, October 2 episode, you’ve come to the right place.

The week featured two romantic one-on-one dates, a competitive kickball group date, several special guests (including Wayne Newton and The Golden Bachelor ‘s Gerry Turner), and some crucial moments of vulnerability.

‘The Golden Bachelorette’ Episode 3 Recap: Who Goes Home? Who Gets A One-On-One Date? And What’s Gerry Turner Doing Here?

After starting the episode with 14 spunky suitors, Joan ended the rose ceremony with 11 Golden Guys. So who went home? And who will be back next week for another shot at finding lasting late-in-life love? We’ve got answers.

Here’s everything to know about the three men who went home on The Golden Bachelorette Episode 3: Charles King, Kim Buike, and Gregg Lassen.

Who Went Home On The Golden Bachelorette Episode 3?

Jesse Palmer Says Gerry Turner Crashing ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ Was “A Surprise”: “I Didn’t Know He Was Coming. I Know Joan Didn’t Know He Was Coming.”

First up on the chopping block? Charles King, not to be confused with Charles Ling (Bachelor Nation’s National Treasure). The 62-year-old portfolio manager from Rancho Palos Verdes, California laid it all out on the kickball field for Joan in Episode 3, telling cameras, “So many people got hurt today —quad muscles, hamstrings, fingers — but we all laid it out on the line for Joan.” Even though Charles (aka CK) and team lost the game and lost out on extra time with Joan, he showed his strength when he broke a board (and punched a fellow contestant) during Episode 2’s talent contest. Sadly, CK didn’t get much screen time, but he had good vibes and per his Golden Bachelorette bio, the father of five is the life of the party, loves playing basketball, dancing, exercising and exploring the outdoors. He wanted to “prove to the world that men above 60 ‘still have game, charm and swag!'” And he was successful! Next to head home on The Golden Bachelorette Episode 3? Kim Buike aka Captain Kim, a 69-year-old retired Navy captain from Seattle, Washington. For those who need a refresher, Kim made quite the impression on Night 1 by showing up in uniform to honor the 27.5 years he spent on active duty. “I was captain of a destroyer and I loved it, but being a full-time dad was the most important thing for me,” Kim explained. Six years after losing his late wife Mary, who he spent eight and a half years with, Kim decided to open himself back up to love again and try his best to win Joan’s heart. He sang for her at the talent show in Episode 2 and was admittedly discouraged when he lost. He memorably fixed the mansion’s garbage disposal with an Allen wrench. He gave his all during kickball. And he wrote and sang an original song for Joan again shortly before he was sent home. While Kim may not have found lasting love, he was still singing on his way out, so here’s hoping he hasn’t lost hope! You can stay up-to-date with the Cap on Instagram at @kimbuike .

Finally, Joan said farewell to Gregg Lassen, a 64-year-old retired university vice president from Longboat Key, Florida, who you may also know as the guy who snores or the guy who did Pascal’s laundry. (No word yet on how Pascal will get his clothes cleaned and folded without Gregg.) While Gregg may not have been the guy for Joan, there’s no denying he was an incredible sport throughout his Golden Bachelorette journey. He got physically punched several times (once by CK during the talent competition, another when “a naked French man” woke him up and banished him from the bedroom for his snoring). Through it all, Gregg smiled, laughed, and made a sleep apnea joke during the talent show. He even tore up his leg sliding into third base during the kickball game! That’s dedication. While we’re sorry to see Gregg go, we have no doubt that the remaining Golden Guys will sleep better without him in the mansion. (Sorry, sir!)
