Glidden, Butternut senior menu for October 2024

The Ashland County Senior Nutrition Program menu for October at the Sanborn, Mellen, Glidden and Butternut meal sites.

Oct. 2: Tuna noodle casserole, steamed carrots, 3-bean salad, fruit.

Oct. 3: Rotisserie chicken with gravy, roasted herb potatoes, steamed broccoli, fruit, dinner roll.

Oct. 7: Tater Tot hotdish, California vegetable blend, wholewheat bread.

Oct. 9: Maple glazed pork, tomato and cucumber salad, baked beans, pineapple tidbits, whole-wheat bread.

Oct. 10: Lasagna, Italian vegetables, canned pears.

Oct. 14: Chicken chop suey, brown rice, Asian blend vegetables, pineapple tidbits.

Oct. 16: Penne pasta with Italian meatballs and marinara, Italian blend vegetables, fruit.

Oct. 17: BIRTHDAY MEAL — Garlic herb pork loin with gravy, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, bean cake.

Oct. 21: Turkey chili, green beans, sweet cornbread, canned peaches.

Oct. 23: beef macaroni casserole, canned pears, side salad.

Oct. 24: Barbecue chicken, country coleslaw, potato salad, fruit, dinner roll.

Oct. 28: Beef stroganoff, buttered egg noodle, mixed vegetable blend, pineapple tidbits.

Oct. 30: Beef taco, refried beans, mild salsa, canned pears.

Oct. 31: Sausage and vegetable frittata, steamed broccoli, red skinned breakfast potatoes, fruit, southern biscuit.

The meals are for persons aged 60 and over regardless of income or assets. There is a $3-to-$5 suggested donation for a meal. All meals served at 11:30 a.m. contain at least 1/3 of recommended daily allowance nutrition guidelines and are served with 1% milk. The menu is subject to change without notice when necessary.

Reservations and cancellations are required by 1 p.m. the serving day before the meal by calling the meal site or the Aging Unit office at 1-888-682-7672. The Butternut meal site number is 715-769-9417. The Glidden meal site number is 715-682-4414 ext. 0.
