Who's Better Than Baker? Bucs QB Mayfield Snubbed

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been able to get off to a solid 3-1 start to their season, and it is due in no small part to the great play from their star quarterback, Baker Mayfield.

In a recent article by PFF , they put together what they believe is the All-Pro team from the first quarter of the regular season. But at the quarterback position, Baker Mayfield is nowhere to be found.

Instead, it is Baker's NFC South rival, Derek Carr, that makes the team. Despite being one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL through the first four weeks, Mayfield continues to be overlooked.

Mayfield has more passing yards, more touchdowns, less interceptions, and has led his team to a better record than Carr. Looking at all of those things, it becomes hard to argue why Carr deserves to be on this team over Mayfield, as the Bucs field general is better in every way.

Many thought that Mayfield's 2023 year was a fluke, and that he would be back to his old ways this season. But he has proven so far this season that is not going to be the case.

Baker will be looking to use this as motivation going forward this season, especially in Week 5, when he and the rest of the Bucs will be up against their NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football.
