New Jersey Devils Add Taylor Ham Breakfast Sandwiches To Menu

On the ice, the New Jersey Devils are a young team on the rise that should take a massive step forward this season. Off the ice, the Devils are also making improvements in the food department. Fans who attend the Prudential Center can now enjoy a local Jersey favorite at all the games.

The Devils are now serving breakfast. Not just breakfast but Taylor Ham breakfast sandwiches that are served not just in the morning.

Greg Wyshynski of ESPN was the first to report the news:

“A night out at a hockey game conjures images of hot dogs, popcorn and beer. But the New Jersey Devils have put something else on the menu this season: breakfast.”

“The Devils announced this week that they’ll be selling Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches — New Jersey’s iconic breakfast staple — at the “Downtown Diner” stands near Sections 1 and 118 at the Prudential Center. The sandwich was available for a limited time in previous seasons but will now become a fixture at all games.”

People who aren’t familiar with North Jersey probably have no idea what Taylor Ham is. If you want the spark notes, it’s basically pork roll, except it’s “Taylor Pork Roll.” It’s a Jersey thing. You also can’t pump your own gas in that state. It’s the armpit of America. They’re going to have weird quirks. It is what it is.

Hey, whatever works. I think this is a great move by the Devils. If it gets more fans to the games, so be it. Sometimes teams can rally behind weird stuff like this. Vibes are high with the Devils right now.
