The New York Giants are staring down the barrel of another lost season with a 1-3 record after the first month.

With that in mind, there's always the chance general manager Joe Schoen looks to get some value for players on expiring contracts.

One of the most popular names dating back to the offseason has been edge rusher Azeez Ojulari, a former second-round pick who is in the final year of his rookie contract.

Should the Giants look to enter the trade market, Matt Holder of Bleacher Report believes they could have a potential partner in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .

"Heading into this past weekend, the Buccaneers only had two sacks on the season, so the defense could use some pass-rushing help. Meanwhile, the current Giant was listed as the third overall player on B/R's NFL Trade Block Big Board column this week and as a good fit for the Bucs," Holder wrote.

Ojulari has consistently been running as the No. 3 edge rusher for the Giants behind Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Having depth on the edge is vital, but the Giants may need to weigh their options when the trade deadline arrives.

On 37% of the snaps this season, Ojulari has nine tackles (four solo), one sack, one tackle for loss and two quarterback hits. According to Next Gen Stats , Ojulari has a 10.2% quarterback pressure rate.

With one more month before the deadline hits, Ojulari is likely going to be a popular name among trade proposals considering his future with the Giants seems to be dwindling with each week.
