A solid variety on the menu always makes everybody at the table happy. For some of the best in Japanese fusion and classic cuisine alike, one must check out Mulan Japanese Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a dining experience with variety and then some.

The appetizers are always a solid choice, and for food app users, often some appetizers are buy one get one, like the spring rolls (pictured below). The crab rangoons are a great balance of crispy and savory too, as are the delectable shrimp tempuras.

Sushi rolls are many at Mulan, available in appetizer towers, platters, five piece, six piece, and eight piece specialty rolls. A personal favorite is the crunchy roll, featuring crispy shrimp tempura and cucumber on the inside, and a generous topping of spicy crabmeat and tangy bang bang sauce on top.

“There are so many awesome rolls on their menu, I do not know where to begin,” said local Myrtle Beach resident Jennifer Hubert of Mulan Japanese. “You can never go wrong with a California roll or Philadelphia roll, but the deep fried Dancing Eel roll is my favorite. It comes with cream cheese, spicy salmon, cucumber inside it, and eel, avocado, masago, rice, and eel sauce on top for an explosion of flavor.”

Make sure to check out the hibachi bowls and lunch specials too. Bowls are available in chicken, steak, shrimp, veggie, or select combination varieties. Express bowls are a solid choice for the cost-conscious, featuring two scoops of rice and select protein options. The hibachi lunch specials are where it is at though, featuring vegetables alongside the rice and protein. No matter one’s hunger craving, Mulan has one covered.
