    Banks Construction New Shop /Office Facility

    Project description: This project consists of a two-story 25,200-square-foot mixed-use building for use as office space and a new shop facility. The shop area is 10,500 square feet on the ground level and will serve as a heavy equipment service and repair shop. The office area is 3,300 square feet on the ground floor and 4,500 square feet on the second floor.

    Project description: This project consists of a new community senior center for the city of North Charleston. The 12,303-square-foot one-story building has an indoor pool and two outdoor pickleball courts. The interior includes a large exercise room for group fitness, five activity rooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms, kitchen, coffee bar and restrooms.

    Edisto Emergency Medical Services Station No. 8

    Project description: This new emergency response facility for Charleston County EMS in Edisto will be five times the size of the previous facility and named in honor of former District 8 councilwoman Anna B. Johnson. The 5,000-square-foot facility will feature shared office space for EMS and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, a fitness room, kitchen, bunk beds, laundry area and an open bay garage that can accommodate four ambulances.

    Estimated completion date: December 2024

    Project description: Scope of work includes the demolition of existing Sanctuary finishes and back of house area to reconstruct with a raised floor system and updated finishes and AVL systems throughout the space. The ARC building is being modified to support temporary worship services during construction and will have updated finishes after the church moves back into the Sanctuary. Additional renovations will occur in the restrooms throughout the Education Building. A second phase of construction is happening too.
