Serial Thief "Carrie" Arrested in Polk County

The Polk County Sheriff's Office has arrested Carlton Scott McKuhen III, also known by the aliases "Carrie," "Pumpkin," and "Christina," for felony theft charges. According to Sheriff Grady Judd, McKuhen’s recent crime spree, which has spanned multiple locations over the past few months, has escalated the charges from misdemeanor to felony theft.

McKuhen, a 22-year-old from Winter Haven, has been involved in numerous theft incidents, leading to a total of seven charges. Most notably, McKuhen faces charges of multiple retail thefts within a specific time period, contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a minor, and several counts of petit theft. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Winter Haven Police Department, has been involved in the investigation and arrest.

Sheriff Grady Judd, in a social media video, highlighted the severity of McKuhen’s theft spree, stating that the crimes have escalated beyond petty theft. McKuhen is accused of repeatedly targeting multiple retail locations, raising concerns among local businesses and the wider community.

Initially, Sheriff Judd posted the video to ask for the public’s help in locating McKuhen, confirming that both pictures were of the same person. “By the way, he doesn’t always look like a guy, sometimes he looks like a girl," Judd said.

As of now, McKuhen remains in custody, with booking information indicating eligibility for bond, though it has not yet been posted.
