Kirk Cousins, Raheem Morris' Postgame Moment in Falcons-Buccaneers Turns Heads

The Atlanta Falcons were so close to losing in Week 5, but like what they have done for the most part early this 2024 season, they came back to win. Now, Kirk Cousins, head coach Raheem Morris and the team are 3-2 on the year, good for the top spot in the NFC South.

Atlanta beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Thursday Night Football showdown, with Cousins stepping up big time to avoid a potential disaster for the Falcons and lead the team to the 36-30 victory.

The veteran QB completed 42 of his 58 passes for 509 yards and four touchdowns against just one interception. His last TD of the game was also his most important, as it gave the Falcons the lead in overtime. Cousins connected with wideout KhaDarel Hodge for a 45-yard score to complete their comeback win.

After the game, Cousins and Morris were naturally ecstatic and couldn't help but celebrate. Cameras caught the two sharing a postgame hug in a rather incredible moment for the team.

"That's what he's been doing since he's been back. He's coming off a significant injury, and I've watched him get better every single week. We talked about it, from Pittsburgh, every single week it's been better."

It's certainly great to see Cousins and Morris share so much respect and admiration for each other. As Atlanta tries to improve from their 7-10 campaign in 2023, the connection they have will be crucial.
