Scheana Shay Says She And Ariana Madix Need To Have “A Deeper Conversation” To Mend Their Friendship On ‘WWHL’

Andy Cohen got to hang out with Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson and comedian Michael Rapaport on Thursday night’s (Oct. 3) episode of Watch What Happens Live — but the real tea was spilled when Vanderpump Rules icon Scheana Shay made a surprise visit and revealed where she stands with her castmates.

When Bravo fans last saw Shay on television, she was torn between her long-standing friendships with Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix , who had broken up earlier that year as a result of his affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss . While Shay struggled with whether she should show Sandoval some grace in light of the scandal, the reality star revealed on WWHL that they have not been in touch.

“Not at all?” Cohen pressed, to which Shay replied, “No. I saw him at the Emmys but [that’s it]. “

Ariana Madix Confirms Her Friendship With Scheana Shay “Took A Big Hit” After The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Reunion

Shay also confirmed Madix’s previous notion that their once-tight friendship “ took a big hit ” after the Season 11 reunion. However, the “Good as Gold” singer said she was still holding out hope that they would someday be able to get back to where they once were.

“I saw her last week. We talk here and there but I think we still need to have a deeper conversation,” she said, before adding, “We aren’t as close as we once were but we have so much love for each other so I know we’ll get back.”

Shay, who was spotted filming the Vanderpump Rules spinoff The Valley over the summer, also opened up about why she took a step back from Jax Taylor , who had previously unfollowed her, her husband Brock Davies, and their daughter Summer Moon on social media.

“He acts one way to my face and then another. I just can’t keep up with him so I’m good on him,” she said, noting that she’s not surprised Brittany Cartwright filed for divorce from Taylor — just that she was “surprised it took that long.”
