With a long-standing partnership with GEICO coming to an end, the new title sponsor of Talladega’s spring NASCAR Cup Series race has been revealed for 2025, with Jack Link’s taking over.

Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal revealed the news on Friday: “@JacksLinks will become the new title sponsor of Talladega’s spring NASCAR Cup Series race in 2025, replacing @GEICO,” he posted on X.

The original report of GEICO leaving the sport left fans disappointed, as the ties between company and NASCAR go back to 2009. In 2019, the relationship got even deeper, as GEICO also became the official insurance of the sport.

With GEICO leaving as a premier partner, as well as declining to sponsor the spring Talladega race any longer, the track was left wondering who would step up, and Jack Link’s will be doing so. Still, NASCAR is proud of their longstanding relationship with GEICO, and the value it built for both brands over their time together.

“The partnership between NASCAR and GEICO has demonstrated the immense value and weekly excitement that two consumer-driven brands can create, and we are proud of the extraordinary brand value, exposure and growth opportunities we’ve built together,” NASCAR said in a statement, via Stern.

Moving forward, Jack Link’s will hope to bring the same excitement to the Talladega spring race, while NASCAR might be on the lookout for another premier partner to replace GEICO. The Cup Series is in Alabama this weekend at the super speedway, looking to put on another tremendous show at the track.

Kevin Harvick predicts winner of Talladega NASCAR Playoff race

Just six races remain in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, and next up on the schedule is a racetrack which promises to be the most unpredictable of them all in the aforementioned Talladega.

For 188 laps and 500 miles, drivers will strategically work their way through a treacherous Talladega and of course, do everything they can to avoid the inevitable “Big One.” At the end, a winner will be crowned. Kevin Harvick believes the driver that will be headed to Victory Lane Sunday afternoon is Ryan Blaney, he said on Tuesday’s “ Happy Hour ” podcast.

“It’s so wide open,” Harvick said. “I think this week was a great example of what I thought was a dead William Byron to a revived William Byron. So, I’m gonna go with [Ryan] Blaney.”

Blaney is about as safe a pick you can have in the field given his recent success at the 2.66-mile tri-oval. The reigning Cup Series champion won the fall race at Talladega last season, finished as the runner-up the year prior and took the checkered flag in 2019.

“In 20 career starts at Talladega, Blaney has three wins and six top five finishes. Blaney is coming off a P6 finish at Bristol and a fourth-place finish at Kansas, currently sitting 28 points above the playoff cutline.
