    Steve Kerr 'Dominates' NBA History?

    By Lance Roberson,

Although he's one of the humblest personalities in the NBA, Steve Kerr has much to do with the league's history. You could call Kerr "the Forrest Gump" of the NBA. He's done it all in multiple eras. In 1988, Kerr became a member of the NBA fraternity. Even after retirement, playing basketball with some of the best athletes in the world, he experienced success in other facets of the game.

Although Kerr was never the best player on an NBA team, he managed to make history, whether it was with the 1990s Chicago Bulls, when he made pivotal playoff shots for Michael Jordan, or with the San Antonio Spurs, as the team's savior during the 2003 Western Conference Finals.

However, his tenure as the head coach of the Golden State Warriors is possibly the peak of his powers. Under Kerr's watch, the Warriors won four NBA championships.

In addition to his coaching success, his playing career, in which he won five NBA Finals with the Bulls and Spurs, has contributed to 31 percent of the last 29 NBA championships.

Despite his humble demeanor, Kerr's playoff experiences make him one of the league's best coaches.

However, like a war veteran, Kerr dislikes talking about what he's done. Conversely, he rather boasts about his teammates and those who helped along the way.

While history smiles upon the Warriors, the franchise isn't ready for its lifetime achievement award and hopes the NBA's Forrest Gump has one more run in him as head coach.
