Marlon Humphrey’s Angel Reese Criticism Resurfaces After Meeting Her at Bills Game

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey has egg on his face yet again.

The All-Pro CB went viral over the summer and was promptly put on blast for his “This is literally disgusting” comment regarding USA gymnasts Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles bowing to Rebeca Andrade on the medal podium after finishing second and third, respectively, to Andrade in the floor exercise at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Now, Humphrey is in hot water thanks to Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

During the Ravens’ 35-10 win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, Reese was on-hand in Baltimore to support he favorite NFL team. Humphrey approached her and stated he watched women’s basketball because of Reese.

Humphrey’s admission drew a Jim Halpert-level side-eye from Reese, who didn’t appear to be buying the act, likely because of what Humphrey said about her, LSU and Caitlin Clark ahead of the 2023 national championship game on the “Punch Line” podcast last year — a video that has since resurfaced after Humphrey’s awkward interaction with Reese.

“I kind of want to see Caitlin Clark win it all,” Humphrey said at the time. “I can’t rock with LSU. I can’t get behind that squad, mainly because it’s LSU. There’s a lot going on there…so I want Caitlin Clark to win it all just because I’ve jumped on the bandwagon. I might get my first WNBA jersey.”

The video of Humphrey's 2023 remarks went viral with more than 3.5 million views and 33,000 likes on X.

While Humphrey didn’t outright say Clark was the reason he started watching women’s basketball, it was heavily implied, as was Clark being the first WNBA jersey he bought.

Many fans called Humphrey out on social media, exposing his contradictory statements and accusing him of trying to save face with Reese after he invited her to be a guest on his podcast back in August after it was revealed Reese was a Ravens fan.
