Myrtle Beach Bourbon Bar Temporarily Closes for Upgrades

A New Orleans-inspired bourbon bar and restaurant in Myrtle Beach has temporarily closed its doors as new owners prepare to take over.

After purchasing Bourbon Street Bar & Grille from longtime owner Jay Mac, Steve Lane , Dylan Lane , and Greg Johnson announced plans for significant renovations and upgrades at the 5307 N Kings Hwy location.

In late September, the trio stated that the bar would keep its name and “same fun vibes,” just with a new look and an upgraded experience.

While many elements of the establishment will remain unchanged, Bourbon Street’s menu and interior will receive a complete refresh. Planned updates include a thorough cleaning, a new computer system, an expanded kitchen, a new beer closet, and modernized menu designs and furniture.

The previous menu featured classic American favorites like burgers, wings, and chicken tenders, alongside Cajun-inspired dishes such as po’ boys and grilled Bayou shrimp. While the new menu has not yet been released, guests can expect some familiar options, especially those reflecting the flavors of The Big Easy.

Bourbon Street Bar & Grille has been introducing new staff members on social media over the past few days, generating excitement among patrons. The team is working diligently to welcome guests back as soon as possible.
