Rich Homie Quan — Forever Goin In

Nearly a month after his tragic passing and on what would have been his birthday, Rich Homie Quan’s family reportedly releases his first posthumous album Forever Goin In .

Complex reports that the Georgia-based rapper was working on this project before his untimely death. The new album includes 35 songs and it features 2 Chainz, Skilla Baby, Lil Tjay, Plies, and more.

The album’s artwork showcases a young Quan smiling with a crown on his head. “I promise I will neva stop going in…Forever Going In.” It arrives via Rich Homie Entertainment, according to Spotify.

It’s been a mournful month since Rich Homie Quan’s passing. The popular rapper, who became famous for his work on “Lifestyle,” “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Type of Way,” among other songs, died from an accidental drug overdose last month, according to the Associated Press .

    Jaden Smith — “D.U.M.B.”

Jaden Smith returns with a new acronym for his fans. This time around, the actor-rapper-singer unveils “D.U.M.B.”

“Is you dumb?” He asks on the track. “Is it fun for you f-cking up our love?” He also filmed the music video at Salvation Mountain in California, where the message of love appears throughout.

Jaden says the song title represents “Deep Underground Military Base.” It’s a nod, he says, to the MSFTS collective he’s been repping for years. Meanwhile, the song is about much more.

“It’s Really About How Much I Hate Hurting People I Love With My Actions And How We Can Feel D.U.M.B Sometimes,” he said via Instagram. “This Song Was Written Over A Year Ago And Is Dedicated To Myself. I Mean No Disrespect With The Lyrics. This Is Just My Experience.”

He went on to reveal the track’s personal nature. “I’ve Always Loved Learning But I Was Never The Smartest Tool In The Shed And If You Ever Feel D.U.M.B. As You Walk The Road Of Life Trying To Discover Yourself, Just Know You’re Not Alone.”

“D.U.M.B.” is slated to appear on Jaden’s forthcoming project, 2024: A Case Study Of The Long Term Effects Of Young Love. “I Made This Project Because I’m Sad,” he added. “Thank You For Listening Also Make Sure Your Sunset Cactus Don’t Hover Away It’s That Season.”

    Lil Durk — “Monitoring Me”

Lil Durk is on alert. After releasing a few cuts and features, Smurk returns with his newest single, “Monitoring Me.”

Over Southside production, Durkio raps about a flurry of topics, including apologies. “He said something in public, I got in his DM and made him apologize / I can’t tell you what I had told him for real, my sh-t be monetized,” he says on the track.

He continues to rap about a series of ideas throughout the new cut. “Lil’ bro want that fast sh-t, when he go to Six Flags, he don’t get on rides / I be with the n-ggas who take the rappers’ sh-t and make ’em buy it back,” he raps.

Durk’s next album, Deep Thoughts , is due Oct. 18. He announced it by saying it’s “for the people, for the trenches. Smurk back.”

Durk also dropped the song’s music video. Backed by Maybachs, Ferraris, and skyscrapers, Smurk tosses money around, eats chips, and takes a second to recharge at a local gas station in the clip.

Victoria Monet — JAGUAR II: Deluxe

Victoria Monét turns the page in her personal life just as she also enters a new musical chapter. In the midst of that evolution, the Grammy-winning singer unveils her newest offering, JAGUAR II: Deluxe .

More than a year after releasing the original Jaguar II , Monét drops the deluxe version with 10-new cuts. This includes recently-released singles “SOS (Sex On Sight)” with Usher and “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet)” with Bryson Tiller. Thundercat also appears on the new song “Don’t Sleep at Night.”

The new part of the album kicks off with “D-ckAtNight.” She reveals: “I had a couple shots in the tequila glass / And maybe that’s why I’m out here shaking a-s / No one can judge me / I’m newly single anyway.”

Monét is, in fact, single. She recently announced her separation from her partner John Gaines. “Though we still completely adore and respect each other, we are not a couple anymore,” they recently wrote in a joint statement . “There was no infidelity, toxic behavior nor drama. We both just have some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart so we can remain the best versions of ourselves for our daughter. It simply didn’t work out and that’s okay.”
