Northstar subdivision on Sussex County Planning and Zoning agenda for Oct. 9

GEORGETOWN — The published agenda for the Oct. 9 Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission meetings scheduled for a 3 p.m. start at 2 the Circle in Georgetown includes four items relating to the proposed Northstar development of more than 750 homes on the southeast side of Route 9, straddling portions of Beaver Dam Road near Lewes.

The items seek to subdivide almost 380 acres into lots, a change of zone on almost eight acres of those acres to MR Medium Density Residential and a conditional use to install about 90 multifamily units there and to designate almost 13 acres of the original parcel to C-3 Heavy Commercial from AR-1 Agricultural Residential.
