It's not as bad as tampons in the boy's bathroom.

I used a similar technique as a High School Science Teacher. Most students could manage to go at breaks or long lunch period. Pretty sure none of the extra credit earned by not using passes resulted in an academic GPA that allowed anyone to get into Harvard because they could hold their water. Also, the passes allowed for a student’s occasional need just to get a short break from class. Because I gave only occasional homework, I planned each period to be precisely scheduled as instructional time. And yes to those saying students often used bathroom breaks to socialize, but kids will be kids. And the teacher is the staff member of record for every student in each class period and thus responsible for their whereabouts and behavior.
