San Antonio Zoo opens its biggest habitat to date

Now that the vibes are set, we have some big news about the San Antonio Zoo — or should we say giraffenormous.

That’s right, the San Antonio Zoo has opened it’s expanded habitat for its giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and ostrich’s residents. This marks the largest habitat in the zoo’s history.

Grab your safari hats, jump on the Zoo Train, because we’re here to show you what you can expect.

The Naylor Savanna

The new habitat is double in size and includes new giraffe viewing barns and a special experience via the Spekboom Lodge . By booking this experience you’ll have exclusive after-hours access to the zoo, and get to enjoy luxury accommodations where you can sleep alongside these magnificent creatures.

Now visitors can ride in an actual safari truck ride thanks to the Conserfari Tours .

The new add-on ticketed experience gives attendees the opportunity to hop into a retrofitted safari-fied Toyota Tundra + feed the animals in the savanna.
