A well-known drag queen who found himself part of a Trump campaign ad threatened legal action against the former president for claims the campaign did not have permission to use the video.

Released last week, the advertisement highlighted Vice President Kamala Harris’ support for transgender people and features her saying in the 2020 campaign that she would support giving trans inmates access to gender affirming care, NBC News reported .

The ad also showed Harris and drag queen Pattie Gonia posing for pictures at a 2022 Pride month event, according to the station.

On Thursday, Pattie Gonia – whose other name is Wyn Wiley – denounced the ad and suggested in a video posted to social media that a legal remedy could be on the way.

“Is this seriously the best they’ve got?” Wiley said while dressed as the Statue of Liberty, according to the NBC News report. “No, the Trump campaign did not have my permission to use my name or likeness. Yes, we are reviewing our legal options, and yes, I’m going to do what queer people always do, turn our pain into something positive.”

Wiley ended the video with a message for Trump, who himself is known for his litigious nature .

“You’re fired!” Wiley said over audio of Trump’s famous catchphrase while holding a sign with the line.

The NBC News report noted that Wiley — who has over 690,000 followers on Instagram and 460,000 followers on TikTok — used the video to direct social media followers to an online fundraiser for two LGBTQ advocacy groups, Point of Pride and Trans Lifeline.

It is not known what legal action Wiley is considering pursuing.
