Pedestrian Killed in an SUV Accident Near Fairgrounds in George County

On Thursday night, October 3, 2024, the George County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an accident near the fairgrounds on Old Highway 63 South.

According to a press release from George County Sheriff's Office, the pedestrian, a forty three year old man, was killed in the accident involving an SUV.

George County Coroner Deeann Murrah has positively identified the deceased as James Attaway of Lucedale, Mississippi.
