The Syracuse Orange secured an upset win on Friday night, taking down the UNLV Rebels 44-41 in Las Vegas. Following the Orange's overtime victory, college football fans posted their immediate reactions on social media.

Syracuse went into the game as a touchdown underdog. The Rebels were 4-0, ranked as the No. 25 team in the nation before the loss. UNLV had previously defeated Fresno State, Kansas, Utah Tech and Houston.

Time of possession was the name of the game in the Orange's win. Syracuse recorded 96 plays in 39:41, while the Rebels ran through 50 plays in 19:56.

Despite the struggles, UNLV put itself in a position to win the game, that is until Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord's game-winning touchdown drive.

The Orange also had great production on the ground. Yasin Willis capped off the matchup with one touchdown and 62 yards on eight carries. LeQuint Allen finished the game with two touchdowns on 71 yards, with 19 carries on the night.

The Orange have been one of the biggest surprises of the college football season, specifically in the ACC. With the win over the Rebels, Syracuse advanced to 4-1 on the season under first-year head coach Fran Brown.

So far this season, Syracuse has taken down Holy Cross, Georgia Tech, Ohio and UNLV. The Orange will look to push the pace in Week 7 when they take on the NC State Wolfpack.
