Despite suffering their first loss of the season in Week 4, the Buffalo Bills have had an overall strong start in 2024.

One of the main reasons for their 3-1 start has been quarterback Josh Allen, who has established himself as an early MVP contender through the first four weeks.

Now, Allen has received the top offensive honor in the AFC conference, as he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September. This is the third time in Allen's career that he has earned Offensive Player of the Month honors, and it's the first time since the 2020 season. ... and Bills Mafia hopes this puts him on an MVP path.

Through September, Allen leads all quarterbacks in the AFC with nine total touchdowns, a 116.5 passer rating and no interceptions. Coach Sean McDermott spoke about Allen's play in 2024 and how it has differed from past years.

"Yeah, he's been very consistent in his performance on the field, consistent in his approach, consistent in his just willingness to take what the defense is giving him," said McDermott. "Season's young, and so I'm looking forward to how he's going to continue to do that… his maturation, his development has been fun to watch."

Although Allen has often been considered one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL by both the media and his peers since he entered the league in 2018, he has only been selected to one All-Pro team, and has yet to be named MVP. However, if he can continue to build off of his hot start, that could change soon.
