Twin Cities score major K-pop event with KATSEYE to perform at Mall of America

KATSEYE, a new pop girl group at the center of a Netflix docuseries , surprised K-pop fans Friday with an announcement that they’ll perform at Mall of America this month.

The Los Angeles-based group, which has amassed a global fan base since debuting in June, is set to perform Saturday, Oct. 19 in the Huntington Bank Rotunda with a meet-and-greet to follow the performance, the mall announced.

The multi-national, six-member pop act formed under a first-of-its-kind joint venture between Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records and South Korean entertainment giant HYBE.

KATSEYE, billed as the first-ever “global girl group” developed under the K-pop industry’s intensive artist training model, now boasts over 11 million monthly Spotify listeners.

Details of KATSEYE’s upcoming Mall of America performance haven’t yet been revealed, but an event webpage says wristbands for floor access will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and a limited meet-and-greet will be held following the performance.
