Rex­ford and Faith Martin followed up with nine and five kills, respectively. Izzy DiSalvo 10 digs and DiDonato chipped in with four blocks to hold down the defense.Boys soccerThe Shawsheen Tech boys soccer team lost 4-2 to Kipp Academy in a game that had a few controversial calls.Two Shawsheen scoring bids that appeared to cross the goal line were deemed no-goal by game officials while a similar close call was awarded a goal to Kipp.Scoring for the Rams were junior Davide Vitale and senior Jayden Perez with assists to senior Ollie Ferrer and Vitale on a great cross to Perez.Shawsheen clobbered Lowell Catholic by a 6-0 score in its previous match.Shawsheen had its best offensive day to go along with the shutout. Senior Ethan Melanson had a goal and two assists and both senior Jack Bourque and Perez added a goal and assist each. Sen­ior Niko Georgoulis had two goals.Vitale had the other goal, and adding assists were senior Nick Palmerino and sophomore Aidan Boutot. Manning the net for his first shutout of the season was senior Kaleb Molina.GolfThe Shawsheen Tech golf team beat Lowell Catholic last Friday by a score of 163-118 at the Four Oaks Country Club. Low medalist for the round was Max Carpenter shooting even par 36 with 36 points.Also scoring for the Rams was Joe DaSilva with a 43 and 25 points, Larry Cullity with a 44 and 23 points, Ryan Dodge with a 40 and 28 points, Aidan Fortunato with a 43 and 24 points and Tyler Frediani with a 41 and 27 points.Shawsheen beat Greater Lowell last week by a score of 181-119 at the Patriot Golf Course. Low medalist for the round was Cullity shooting even par 35 with 36 points.Other scorers for the Rams were DaSilva with a 37 and 33 points, Carpenter with a 37 and 33 points, Ryan Dodge with a 39 and 28 points, Dylan Higson with a 41 and 26 points and Tyler Frediani with a 41 and 25 points.The Rams beat Minute­man Tech recently by a score of 170-131 at the Pa­triot Golf Course.Low medalist for the round Max Carpenter shoo­t­ing a 38 with 31 points.Also scoring for the Rams was DaSilva with 40 and 27 points, Cullity with a 39 and 30 points, Frediani with a 39 and 28 points, Higson with a 40 and 27 points and Fortunato with a 40 and 27 points.Cross countryThe Shawsheen Tech cross country teams open­ed the season by sweeping Whittier Tech of Haver­hill.The Ram boys beat Whit­tier by a 21-40 score while the girls defeated Whit­tier, 22-33.Shawsheen had the winners of both races, Noah Brooks for the boys in 17:28 and Eloise Krochune won the girls event in 25:36.The Ram boys also had the third, fourth, fifth and eighth-place finishers.Justin Girouard was third in 20:05, Johathan Hureau was forth in 21:12, Sean Morgan took fifth in 22:18 and Andrew Guerrero placed eighth in 23:54.For the Shawsheen girls, Alyssa Costantiello was third in 26:46, Corrine Foley took fourth in the 27:28, Ellie Matheson placed fifth in 27:36 and Ella Haynes ended up ninth in 29:41.</div></body>
