Mavericks Forward Has Blunt Reaction to Wife's Head-Turning Outfit

The Dallas Mavericks look to build on their momentum after their appearance in the NBA Finals last season.

It was the squad's first trip to the championship round since winning the title in 2011.

During their recent media day, Mavericks forward PJ Washington stressed that their loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals wasn't an entirely empty experience.

"I look at it as a positive," said Washington in a video posted by the Mavericks on YouTube . "I can't look at it as a negative because people didn't think we would be there. For us, it's a learning experience."

While the 26-year-old Washington is already putting in the work in training camp, he also found the time to comment on the post of his wife and influencer, Alisah Chanel, on Instagram.

Chanel's post, which has been liked over 15,000 times, showcased several pictures flaunting her denim jumpsuit, and Washington was all for it.

"Damn, you making me want another one," the Mavericks forward commented, referring to a second child.

Washington and Chanel have a one-year-old son.

According to People's Jane LaCroix , Washington and Chanel began dating after the NBA player broke up with influencer Brittany Renner. Washington proposed to Chanel in Aug. 2022 and the couple got married in Oct. 2023.

Washington also has a son with Renner, and Chanel has the same from a previous relationship.

The 27-year-old Chanel, who hails from North Carolina, has close to 580,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly posts about fashion, fitness and lifestyle.

She and Washington currently reside in Dallas after the latter was acquired by the Mavericks in a midseason trade with the Charlotte Hornets last season.
