In October, millions of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) customers will see a welcome reduction in their electric bills, thanks to the California Climate Credit. Residential customers with an active electric account will receive a credit of $55.17, the same amount they received in April. Small business customers are also eligible, bringing their total credits for the year to $110.34.

This credit is part of California’s Cap-and-Trade Program aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. PG&E Senior Vice President Vincent Davis calls it a "win-win" for both customers and the environment. The credits are distributed under the direction of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

In addition to the credit, customers are encouraged to explore other energy-saving measures to further reduce costs and support sustainability efforts.
