Texas A&M Calls Out Missouri for Questionable Tactics After Blowout

Texas A&M steamrolled No. 9 Missouri 41-10 on Saturday and had something to say about some potentially questionable motivational tactics ahead of the matchup.

The controversy revolves around a blanket and a note left for Missouri wide receiver Theo Wease, allegedly from Aggies cornerback Will Lee, who goes by the nickname "Blanket."

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko denied involvement and didn't mince words when asked about the situation. He believes Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz did it to motivate his top pass catcher.

“My suggestion would be you guys go ask Eli where that came from,” Elko said in his postgame press conference. “Because I have a strong feeling that that came from the other side and had nothing to do with Texas A&M, Will Lee, or anybody over here. So, you should point that one on the other side.”

Wease had two catches for 72 yards and the Tigers' lone touchdown against the Aggies.

Drinkwitz has yet to comment on the situation, but frankly, he has more significant issues to worry about. Missouri was unable to muster any consistent offense against Texas A&M and now has to regroup after the lopsided loss.

"Really poor performance by our football team," Drinkwitz said . "It starts with me and I apologize to our fans. It's my responsibility for us to be better."

Missouri will have a chance to bounce back next week against a 1-5 Massachusetts squad.
