Nick Saban was on the "College GameDay" panel in Week 6, covering the college football slate live from Berkeley, California. While Saban was on air, his daughter, Kristen Saban, posted a message about him.

Kristen Saban took a photo of her son, James Nick Setas, watching "College GameDay" on the couch while holding an Alabama football action figure.

She captioned the post, "On Saturdays, we watch PaPaw."

Following a historic career as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Saban joined the "College GameDay" crew. He seems to have full support from his family in his next career endeavor, with his daughter and grandson showing love on social media.

Saban had a lengthy career as a head coach at the collegiate level. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Kent State in 1973. Saban would then move around the coaching carousel before getting his big break in 1995.

He coached the Michigan State Spartans from 1995-99 and was then introduced to the SEC. Saban coached the LSU Tigers from 2000-04, winning a national title with the program in 2003.

After a couple of stints as a successful head coach at the FBS level, Saban was handed the keys to the Alabama Crimson Tide program. He served as the head coach of the Crimson Tide from 2007-23, leading the program to six national titles.

Saban accepted the job on the panel of "College GameDay" after retiring as the head coach of the Crimson Tide in 2024. Upon taking the role on "College GameDay," Saban credited the show for helping grow college football.

“ESPN and 'College GameDay' have played such an important role in the growth of college football, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to join their team." Saban said in February. “I’ll do my best to offer additional insights and perspectives to contribute to 'College GameDay,' the ultimate Saturday tradition for college football fans.”
