John ‘Catfish’ Juliano was a musical force to be reckoned with. Appearing in the Athens music scene in the early 1990’s, he went on to perform and record with numerous bands and solo artists until his untimely death last year.

His family, both actual and musical (deftly led by his oldest daughter, Auburn), has put together a three-CD box set of recordings to be released to friends, family and fans, Sunday, October 13, at the Side Bar in Athens, Ohio from 4-8 p.m.

Disc 1, ‘Just John’, features solo Catfish, recording original songs with a portable 4-track recorder. Disc 2, ‘John & Friends’, is a showcase of live and studio recordings made with his various projects (Slim Pickins, Paranormals, Joe Bob Billy, Lost Bob & the Ozone Ramblers). Disc 3, ‘Just Friends’, was recorded this summer at various studios and features recreations of Catfish originals, and covers that were adored by him.

Musicians featured on the CD, and also performing live at the Side Bar, Sunday evening, include Laura Nadeau, Steve Carlson, Rick ‘Bigfoot’ Miller, Joey Hebdo, Big John, Liz Pahl, Cathy Wicks, Tommy Stumpp, David Vaubel, Nate Brite, John Wetzel, Myron Hart, Junebug and more. Many of the songs from the CD will be featured.

The CD sets are packaged in a premium triple-album boxed set, complete with a tribute booklet, and will be available at the show, October 13. There will be a digital release of all three albums, available across all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. All donations will help to further ‘Catfish and Friends’ projects.
