    What To Expect At Six Flag New England's 2024 Fright Fest

    October is the perfect time of year to embrace the spooky Halloween spirit and get scared. Whether you go with friends or bring the family, Fright Fest at Six Flags New England is the perfect combination of thrilling rides, entertaining shows, and scary spooks around every corner.

    Fright Fest takes over the beloved New England amusement park from September 21st until October 27th. This year's Fright Fest features an array of five entertaining shows, including a "creepshow" with sword swallowing and fire breathing, and even a family-friendly musical, just to name a few (check out the full lineup below). There will also be five Haunted Mazes to choose from, for those who pay extra for the mazes pass for the chance to be scared as they make their way to the end of each unique and scary maze.

    Fright Fest also includes scare zones, where Six Flags warns "there could be a zombie, a witch, or another terrifying ghoul lurking in the dark" (you can check out what to expect at each unique scare zone below).

    Fright Fest Shows

    If you're looking for something fun to do in between rides, or perhaps you don't love rollercoasters and are looking for a bit more entertainment, then be sure to check out one of the Fright Fest shows. Some will amaze you, some will make you laugh, and some are spooky right down to their core. To find out the show times on the day of your visit be sure to ask at the box office when entering.

    Six Flags explained a bit about what to expect from each Fright Fest show, which you can check out below:

    Creepshow Freakshow

    "Sword swallowing, Fire breathing, bed of nails?!?! Oh My! The performers of SideShow Thrills present an extreme show featuring feats of danger and disgust. Not for the young or faint of heart & WARNING: don’t try this at home!"

    Love At First Fright

    "While shooting a TikTok in a graveyard, "influencer" Katie and her best friend Jack are captured by a group of monsters with their own eerie secrets. In this family-friendly musical show, will Katie and Jack hit the high notes and go viral? Or become trapped in a never-ending performance with these creatures of the night?"

    Midnight Uprising

    "Rhythm and vibrations rock the graveyard as old bones stir and awaken. There's chaos at the crypts as the undead rise for a dance and lighting spectacular!"

    Mort's Used Coffins

    "A ruthless riot as our resident salesman hosts a moonlight madness sale in the morbid and maniacal show."

    The Awakening

    "Mayor Slayer resumes his reign calling for demons, monsters, ghosts, and ghouls from across the land to join him!"

    Scare Zones

    The 2024 Fright Fest will include seven different scare zones, each with a uniquely terrifying theme. Six Flags explained a bit about what to expect from each scare zone, which you can check out below:

    CarnEvil

    "The circus came to town and the clowns are not what you remember as a kid. Located in Rockville"

    Demon District

    Welcome to Hell on Earth. See demons in their truest, most frightening forms a they first emerge from the underworld. From the foundries at Demonic Manufacturing to desolate scrapyard in the heart of the city, Demon District is the kind of place that sinks its claws into you and never lets go"

    Necropolis 'City of the Dead'

    "Specters and spirits abound in this bustling version of New Orleans. The party never really stopped for the citizens of the Crescent City and this time, you're invited to the party. Make sure you don't dance until you drop because you might never get the chance to leave."

    Screampunk

    "Necromancer has officially moved into town. Crack Axle Canyon is now overrun with henchmen and creatures. Use caution while making your way through this area. They feed on your fear and will do anything to get it."

    Slaughter Hollow

    "Watch out for the Governor of Slaughter Hollow. He's searching for victims and offerings alike to sacrifice to the demonic gourds that have overrun their colonial hometown. Navigate the terrifying village, populated with strange and deadly characters like the wicked oddity shopkeeper, the blood thirsty butcher, and a blacksmith hellbent on survival"

    Soul Harvest

    "Do you hear it? The rustle of corn stalks behind you; the screech of birds all around you; the distant screams echoing across the terrifying field surrounding you. Keep clear of the scythe as you survive killer scarecrows and the murder of crows enveloping the sky. In the fields of Soul Harvest, the Reaper isn't the only thing you have to fear!"

    Wasteland

    "Enjoy the sights, smells, and screams of a city radiating with life. In the aftermath of a toxic disaster, you’re invited to try and survive the ultraviolet and ultra-violent alleys and avenues of the Wasteland." - Fright Fest at Six Flags New England

    After 6 PM Fright Fest Information

    During Fright Fest, Six Flags warns "we will show No Mercy after 6:00pm" explaining that after six the park experience is recommended for guests ages thirteen and over. There will also be no costumes allowed by anyone over twelve, no full face masks or face paint, and no park re-entry after 6:00 pm will be allowed.

    When To Attend & Ticket Cost

    Fright Fest at Six Flags New England started on September 21st and runs until October 27th. Open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout October (except for Monday, October 14th which is the only weekday in October Six Flags will be open) this scary fun Halloween takeover of the beloved New England amusement park has become an annual favorite of many in Massachusetts.

    Daily park tickets (which start online at $39 per person) to Six Flags gain you entrance to Fright Fest, except for the Haunted Mazes which are five unique experiences that require a special Haunted Maze Pass which starts at an additional $26 in addition to the daily park ticket price. Park ticket prices can change, so be sure to visit Six Flag's website for the most up-to-date prices.
