Tempers flared near the end of the Week 5 matchup between the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears, resulting in multiple ejections.

After a fourth-quarter touchdown put the Bears up by four scores, a fight broke out in the end zone. At the center of the fracas was Panthers CB Jaycee Horn and Bears OL Matt Pryor, both of whom were ejected for their roles.

Given the recent trade history between the two franchises , this was expected to be a contentious matchup. That was on full display with the fourth-quarter altercation. Here's more on how it happened.

As Roschon Johnson celebrated a goal-line touchdown, flags began to fly everywhere as a fight broke out nearby.

A closer look at the play shows Horn (No. 8) and Bears OL Bill Murray (No. 60) exchange blows and square up. From there, nearly every player on the field got involved, making it difficult to make out what was going on.

After some pushing and shoving from both parties, officials made a decision on ejections, and the game played on. Fox analyst Jonathan Vilma denounced Horn, pointing out the visible frustration and noting that Carolina's CB should have brought that fight on the field during his team's 36-10 loss.

Panthers first-year head coach Dave Canales was not too pleased with what happened.

"We just have to continue to control our emotions in a really hard game," Canales told reporters. "Emotions run high right there (Horn) was instigated — we can't retaliate. They always catch the second person."

"We just have to know on a day like this — let's finish with class, let's finish on our terms and then we'll get back to work."
