Stephens Cup has quickly established itself as a premier event on the collegiate golf calendar. Named in honor of the late Jackson (Jack) T. Stephens, former Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, the tournament continues to grow in prestige, offering top-level competition for both men’s and women’s teams.“Dad would be very humbled by what we’ve accomplished in just three short years, transforming the Stephens Cup into the premier collegiate golf tournament,” said Tournament Chairman Warren Stephens, son of Jack Stephens.“This event honors his legacy, and the field of talented student-athletes reflects all that he admired about amateur golf. Macy Pate sealed the win with a par on the 16th hole, winning her match 4&amp;2 after being 1 down early in the round.“Wake Forest is looking forward to returning to the Stephens Cup this fall,” said Wake Forest Women’s Golf Head Coach Kim Lewellen. “It’s one of our favorite events, offering outstanding venues and top competition, providing incredible experiences for our student-athletes.”On the men’s side, Florida State will also be back to defend their title after defeating the University of Arizona 3&amp;2 in 2023. The stroke-play portion will determine the seeding for the match play rounds, with the top four men’s and women’s teams advancing to compete for the title. The stroke-play medalists will be honored on October 22, ahead of the match play finals.Oklahoma City Golf &amp; Country Club, the host venue for this year’s event, is regarded as one of the most challenging courses in Oklahoma.
