While the Indiana Fever got swept by the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the 2024 WNBA playoffs, the team's future remains bright with Caitlin Clark leading the way.

Clark received 66-of-67 votes to become the league's Rookie of Year, an honor that shocked no one considering how many times the guard rewrote the WNBA's history books during this season.

The 22-year-old set a single-season rookie scoring record with 769 points and three-pointers made (122). She led the entire league in assists (337) and broke the WNBA record for most assists in a single game (19).

Following the Fever's playoff elimination, Clark, who ranked second in the league in minutes per game (35.4) gets her first extended break from basketball in over a year. However, when the rookie phenom is not playing sports, she's watching sports.

While Clark supports the local NFL team, she's cheered for the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on numerous occasions, that's not where her true fandom lies. The NCAA's all-time scorer reiterated her allegiance while reacting to her former Hawkeye teammate Gabbie Marshall's Instagram Story on Oct. 6.

While Marshall cheered for the Cincinnati Bengals, Clark grew up cheering for their AFC rival, the Kansas City Chiefs. "Go Chiefs," Clark posted over Marshall's photo at Paycor Stadium on Sunday.

Clark traveled to Arrowhead Stadium last Christmas to watch the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders. While singer Taylor Swift was also at the game, the two did not get to hang out. “She’s a couple of tiers above my level,” Clark told reporters.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce told reporters at his charity event on Saturday that Swift will be in attendance for the Saints-Chiefs showdown on Monday Night Football. Since Clark is on break, there's a chance she could also return to Kansas City for the primetime Week 5 showdown.
