Royals win four in a row

The Watertown-Mayer volleyball team is peaking at the right time, having won four in a row, dropping only one set during the win streak. The Royals defeated Becker 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19), New London-Spicer 3-1 (25-23, 14-25, 25-11, 27-25), Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-21) and Rockford 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-14).

Against New London-Spicer, Alaina Burns led the attack with 30 kills. Anna Fiscus had seven, Addie Leuthner had three, Claire Vanderlinde had two, Hailey Rasmussen had two, Emily Peterson had one and Penelope Hilgers had one.

Leuthner dished out 35 assists, Burns had three and Kallie Jackson had one.

Peterson led the back row with 32 digs and was followed by Jackson (20), Burns (18), Leuthner (12), Ellyse Tschudi (9), Vanderlinde (2), Rasmussen (2), Fiscus (1), Clara Wetterlund (1), Grace Trucke (1), Malori Derner (1) and Penelope Hilgers (1).

Jackson had two aces, while Burns, Peterson, Trucke and Derner each had one.

Fiscus and Rasmussen both had two block assists.

Against HLWW, Burns led the team in kills with 15 and was followed by Hilgers (4), Fiscus (3), Vanderlinde (3), Rasmussen (2) and Peterson (1).

Leuthner had 23 assists, Burns had two and Tschudi had one.

Burns had three aces, Jackson had two and Peterson had one.

Peterson led the team in digs with 16 and was followed by Burns (13), Tschudi (13), Leuthner (12), Jackson (9), Vanderlinde (4), Derner (3), Hilgers (3) and Fiscus (2).

Fiscus had two solo blocks and Hilgers had one. Leuthner, Burns, Fiscus and Vanderlinde each had a block assist.

Against Rockford, Burns had 15 kills and was followed by Hilgers (7), Fiscus (6), and Leuthner (3).

Leuthner had 23 assists, Burns and Mady Sutter both had two, Tayla Jahnke had one.\
