Kate Middleton took a step back from her royal duties after she was diagnosed with cancer, but she has been making a slow return to public life .

The Princess of Wales recently announced she has finished her chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer . She has slowly been returning to work and former royal butler Paul Burrell believes she will make a special appearance for Remembrance Sunday on November 10.

Paul believes Kate will make an appearance at the The Cenotaph in London to mark the remembrance event. "I think that you will see [Kate] at the Cenotaph in November, a tribute to those who died in all conflict," Paul said.

The former butler added: "There aren’t many occasions through the rest of the year, other than the Diplomatic Reception of Buckingham Palace, which is the biggest night of the year for the royals, where every room of Buckingham Palace is used and every diplomat in London attends."

Speaking on behalf of Slingo , Paul said the Diplomatic Reception of Buckingham Palace "is a very big night". He added that Kate "may appear at that, but there aren't many other occasions that she will."

The Princess of Wales has been making a slow return to work and has confirmed she plans to host her charity carol event at Westminster Abbey as part of her Christmas plans. She made her first return to work back in September.

Kate held her first meeting at Windsor Castle. In the official Court Circular of engagements undertaken by working royals, an entry read: "The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle."

Kensington Palace confirmed it is the first noted mention of Kate working since she was first hospitalized in January for planned abdominal surgery. Kate spent two weeks in hospital before being discharged to recover at home.

Kate revealed she has completed her chemotherapy treatment in a moving video shared last month. In the clip, Kate was seen spending time with her husband Prince William. She admitted: "My path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

Kate also said her cancer journey has been "complex, scary and unpredictable." She said she is now "doing what I can to stay cancer-free."
