The New York Liberty are now headed to back-to-back WNBA Finals. This is after Sabrina Ionescu and Co. took down the two-time defending champs Las Vegas Aces in Game 4 of their second-round matchup on Sunday.

These two teams have produced quite a rivalry with the Aces' 2023 championship coming at the expense of the Liberty. New York made sure to even the score on Sunday as they eliminated Las Vegas via a 3-1 series win.

For good measure, the Liberty also had to take a couple of savage shots at the Aces on social media as they rubbed salt in Las Vegas' fresh wounds.

For starters, the Liberty posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) that showed a pair of Timberland boots placed on top of the Aces logo in center court. Timberlands are essentially a core part of New York culture, and it seems that this is the Liberty's way of stomping on the Aces after their series.

They weren't done either. An hour or so later, New York decided to post a video that had the Liberty, the Aces, and the WNBA Finals logos superimposed on certain characters in the clip. In the video, the Liberty are seen handing an "L" to the Aces as they celebrated their upcoming finals berth.

Talk about adding insult to injury. The Aces are not only headed home after failing to defend their title, but they now have to deal with the social media roasting from their rivals.

As for the Liberty, they now await the winner of the semifinal series between the Connecticut Sun and the Minnesota Lynx. These two teams will battle it out in a do-or-die Game 5 showdown, with the winner proceeding to the next round to face New York.

Game 1 of the WNBA Finals is slated for Wednesday night.
