Upsets around the league affected Inside Texas’ SEC Power Rankings, but the team at the top remained the same as October heats up with some of the best conference games the schedule has to offer.

    1. Texas

Texas is the only undefeated team remaining in the Southeastern Conference, and valiantly conquered the bye week in order to return to the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll.

    2. Georgia (+1)

A week after losing to Alabama, the Bulldogs returned home to Sanford Stadium and won their eighth straight game over Auburn. According to ESPN, UGA’s win probability never dipped below 80% despite the game being as close as four points in the third quarter.

    3. Alabama (-1)

It took the kitchen sink and then some from Vanderbilt to top Alabama. Still, an embarrassing result for the Crimson Tide and Kalen DeBoer in his first season as head coach.

    4. Ole Miss (+2)

Ole Miss controlled South Carolina in a pretty ho-hum way. When the Rebel offense isn’t 100 percent on, it has a good enough defense now to still be able to win those games against other SEC teams. Ole Miss also had two big-man touchdowns. JJ Pegues had two carries for two yards and two scores. That’s always a winner.

    5. Tennessee (-1)

Nico Iamaleava had his freshman moment on Saturday, passing for only 158 yards on 29 attempts. It was obvious Tennessee took the risk of letting Arkansas score the go-ahead touchdown in order to get the ball back, but Iamaleava ran out of bounds as time expired with the football in his hands. He’ll be better for it but it’s a loss for the Vols.

    6. LSU (+1)

Another team that benefitted from not playing.

    7. Texas A&M (+1)

The Aggie defense manhandled the Missouri offense and Conner Weigman had his best game of the season in a dominating win. A&M scored at least 10 in the first three quarters and added a touchdown in the fourth to go up big on the Tigers. Le’Veon Moss had quite the day running for the Aggies, too.

    8. Missouri (-3)

Missouri finally faced a test and it crumbled and crumbled quickly. Brady Cook’s 6.0 yards per attempt is a tough look considering the wideouts available to him.

    9. Oklahoma

    It’s all about this week.

    10. Arkansas

Arkansas has been heartbreakingly close in three different games this season. Turns out, all the Hogs needed was a home game in order to get the victory.
