    Club rebrands as ‘Sunrise/Sunset’

    – Effective Oct. 1, the Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary Club will begin holding evening meetings twice a month, rebranding as the “Sunrise/Sunset” Rotary. The club made the change after the Culinary Arts Academy could no longer serve breakfast, according to Club President Les Simmons.

“When the Culinary Arts Academy could no longer serve breakfast, we brainstormed on alternatives,” Simmons said. “We determined that sunset meetings are a better fit for our members’ schedules. Also, evening meetings are more conducive to socializing and having fun.”

The club will now meet at Su Casa Restaurant, located at 2927 Spring Street, on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. The meetings will feature appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, with a no-host bar available. The club will continue to hold its morning meetings at the Culinary Arts Academy, 1900 Golden Hill Rd., on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 a.m.

The Rotary Club offers networking, fellowship, and community service opportunities, with meetings featuring speakers from various industries, including non-profits and government agencies. As part of the transition to the “sunrise/sunset” format, the club is also developing new fundraisers, reevaluating its goals, and recruiting new members. The two meeting times aim to provide more opportunities for potential members to explore the club.
