Tyrann Mathieu and the New Orleans Saints are set to match up with his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Monday Night Football. It will be a pivotal game for New Orleans, but it will also hold plenty of extra emotion for The Honey Badger .

Mathieu became a fan favorite and key cog in the KC community during his time with the Chiefs.

Fans and players alike appreciate how much he did for them. He's returning to KC in black and gold, determined to prove that he's still got "it" to succeed in the NFL. The veteran safety still plays with quite the chip on his shoulder.

Mathieu also posted a picture with his kids on X/Twitter. You can see his son rocking a Kansas City Royals hat. His kids still live in KC, too. At every level, this opportunity means a lot to Mathieu.

Mathieu has been a bit banged up to start 2024, but that ha snot particularly slowed him down. He's forced three turnovers and reached a new height for interceptions. He has 35 so far in his pro career.

Don't be shocked if that number turns to 36 in Week 5 against the Chiefs, either. His dedication shows up on a weekly basis for New Orleans.

With a beat-up Saints unit on both sides of the ball, they'll need some impactful play from Mathieu if they want to upset the Chiefs in Arrowhead on Monday night.
