'Outlander' Fans Can't Get Enough of Sam Heughan's Photo of 'Jamie Fraser Enjoying His Time in the Future'

Sam Heughan , who plays the fan-favorite character Jamie Fraser in Outlander , participating in a popular American pastime as he attended a San Francisco 49ers game decked out all in red.

He wrote in the caption, "GAME TIME!!! Let’s go @49ers !🏈❤️," as he posed with the bright football field behind him. He wore a 49ers jersey and a team hat, paired with jeans and dark sunglasses. Heughan also took a photo with some of the San Fransisco cheerleaders.

Fans were shocked to see Heughan at the game, with one writing, "NO WAY!!! My worlds colliding! Go Niners!!!! ❤️ 💛."

"I beg your most finest pardon?! 🔥❤️," exclaimed another.

Others were sad they missed their chance to see him at a game, such as people who wrote, "First time I wanted to be a cheerleader 😂," and "omg!! WHY am i not there today!!!😍."

Some couldn't separate Heughan from his Outlander character, with a top-liked comment reading, "Jamie Fraser enjoying his time in the future haha." Another fan thought similarly, replying, "I literally came here to say this exact thing."

Many more shared compliments for the Scottish star, encouraging him to enjoy his time off before the second part of Outlander Season 7 starts on Nov. 22.

Heughan and the rest of the cast, including Caitríona Balfe , Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin , reportedly finished filming for Season 8, the final season of the hit show, at the end of September.
