PoWeR! Book Bags Fall FUNdraiser to feature author W. Bruce Cameron

SUTTONS BAY — The PoWeR! Book Bags Fall FUNdraiser is set for Oct. 19 and will feature acclaimed author W. Bruce Cameron.

The fundraiser is scheduled for 3 p.m. Oct. 19 and will offer a chance to meet author W. Bruce Cameron and enjoy an exclusive viewing of the film adaptation of A Dog’s Journey with dog-themed movie snacks and a raffle.

With purchases of a signed book at this event, one book will be donated to PoWeR! Book Bags.

Cost of the event is $10 for attendees and from 5:30-7:30 p.m. join for an evening featuring live music, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and a silent auction with W. Bruce Cameron and the PoWeR! Book Bags community.

The PoWeR! Book Bags’ mission is to enhance children’s experiences with language, literacy and human interactions. When children play, write, and read, they engage in meaningful interactions that help them develop crucial language and literacy skills essential for success in life.

Since it’s founding in 2016, PoWeR! Book Bags has distributed over 500,000 books and more than 85,000 bags filled with supplies to promote literacy, language play, writing, creativity and social interactions.
