The former West Palm Beach police chief is denying that he had anything to do with "financial improprieties" within the department.

When he announced the firing of Chief Frank Adderley last week, Mayor Keith James cited claims of "financial improprieties" among top commanders.

Adderley on Friday put out a statement that said he was "exceptionally proud" of the agency's efforts to make the city safer. He said the successes are "a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the men and women of the department."

In the statement, Adderley "unequivocally denied" any involvement in the allegations, writing “At no point during my tenure did I participate in, condone, or turn a blind eye to any financial misconduct. Furthermore, any allegations suggesting that I was aware of such improprieties and failed to take action are entirely false. When issues of concern were brought to my attention, I took immediate and appropriate measures to address them."

Adderley was replaced on an interim basis by PBSO Colonel Tony Araujo.

Maybe the Major should be investigated. It's possible he is trying to take the heat off of himself. 🤔 Trust No one. Believe No one. Especially someone who you are supposed to trust. They'll get ya every time.
