The Houston Texans may be without a key offensive piece for their Week 6 game against the New England Patriots.

Wide receiver Nico Collins is considered week-to-week after leaving Sunday’s win over Buffalo with a hamstring injury. The Texans had originally said Collins was day-to-day, but coach DeMeco Ryans was less optimistic about the injury during his Monday press conference.

Ryans’ comments suggest there is a pretty good chance Collins has to sit out at least one game. The Texans have to hope it will be only one, since they have a pretty big game in Green Bay against the Packers in Week 7.

Collins emerged as a standout for the Texans in 2023, with 80 receptions and 1,297 receiving yards to go with eight touchdowns. He appears to be taking another step forward this year, as his 567 receiving yards lead the league through five weeks.
