Montgomery, Pa. — A man allegedly took a bottle of wine that was meant for payment to a neighbor helping with trash in Montgomery.

At first, Franchot Sebastian Feaster, 63, claimed he thought the wine was garbage when he found it sitting on top of a trash bag, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Bryan Carlson said. He later told investigators he took the bottle, Carlson added.

Surveillance video provided by an employee who works in the manager's office of the apartment complex allegedly showed Feaster taking the bottle, according to Carlson. A witness also said Feaster took the wine.

The victim claimed she left the bottle out on top of the trash as payment to her neighbor, police said. She is elderly and unable to take it out on her own. The bottle is valued at $12 to $15, according to investigators.

Feaster is charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. No bail is listed for Feaster, who is scheduled to appear before Judge Kirsten Gardner this month for a preliminary hearing.
