The Nashville Fire Department Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who intentionally set fire to a bathroom at Rippy’s Honky Tonk, located at 429 Broadway, on October 6, 2024, at approximately 5:00 pm.

Surveillance footage captured a man, described as white, entering the restroom on the first floor of Rippy’s Honky Tonk. Moments after his exit, smoke was observed coming out of the bathroom door.

Quick-thinking employees promptly extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher, preventing any further damage or injuries.

NFD Fire Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set by lighting the toilet paper dispenser on fire.

NFD Investigators are now turning to the community for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for this dangerous act of arson.

If you have information about this arson or others, call the Nashville Fire Department Arson Hotline at 615-862-5640.
