Probably Republicans not wanting to face heat or get pinned down on responses. During my last election year as News Editor of The Brunswick Beacon. the entire slate of GOP candidates chose not to answer any questions we asked. We asked ALL candidates the same questions and only edited for length and grammar.If they believe in their platform, it ought to be good enough to promote or defend. Personally consider folks who hide from voters to be untrustworthy. If they cannot be upfront and honest with their would-be constituents, why are they seeking PUBLIC OFFICE?
