Sunday's Bye Week Wasn't Good For Eagles

Things aren't going so well for the Philadelphia Eagles both on and off the field.

Sure, their 2-2 start to the 2024 season is hardly a bad record to this point, and the fact they remain a game out of first place in the division should provide some semblance of positivity to the fanbase.

But the reality is Philadelphia hasn't gotten any help outside of their own games.

Each team in the NFC East won Sunday in differing degrees of fashion. There was Dak Prescott's last-second touchdown throw to edge out the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night. Daniel Jones surprised the league with an impressive win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Then there were the pesky Washington Commanders.

For the second week in a row, the Commanders blew out an inferior team - this time the Cleveland Browns on their way to a 4-1 start to the 2024 season. It's the best start for the Commanders since 2008.

Philadelphia didn't get any help across the league in their attempt to reclaim the top spot in both the NFC and division. The Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Jets in London, and the Green Bay Packers won as well.

All in all, not the best week for the Eagles because it puts extra pressure on them to come out of the bye week strong.
